If your Box Office device is not processing credit card transactions, follow the troubleshooting steps below.
Identifying Why Credit Card Transactions Won't Process
Credit card wasn't read properly
- Insert or swipe the credit card again
- If inserting, confirm the card is fully inserted and left until the transaction is complete (green checkmark).
- If swiping, confirm the magnetic strip is facing the correct direction. There is a visual on the card reader.
WiFi issue
School WiFi can sometimes block credit card transactions.
- Switch from WiFi connection to LTE and retry the transaction.
- If you're required to use WiFi, please reach out to your school's IT Department. Ask them to make sure that the following domains are whitelisted to allow all traffic from the GoFan website, as they are accessed by the GoFan Box Office application:
Card reader or app issue
If neither of the above steps resolve the issue with credit card transactions, disconnect the card reader from your device and completely close out of the Box Office app.
Then, reopen the Box Office app, reconnect the card reader, and try the transaction again.
