How to Manage and Maintain Your GoFan-Issued Box Office Devices

Updating iPad iOS

GoFan requires iOS version 15.0 or greater.

To update your GoFan Box Office iPad:

1. Turn on your iPad and connect to charger. Devices need to be at least 50% charged to update and should remain plugged in while updating.
2. Once charged at over 50%, select the Settings app and navigate to the WiFi settings. Select a valid WiFi network and connect to that network.
3. Go to Settings > General > Software Update to confirm if the update has been downloaded. The screen shows the currently installed version of iPad OS and whether an update is available. If it is available, you can just select the update and install it while the iPad is still charging.

Once these steps have been followed, your devices are ready to run the new GoFan Box Office app.

Avoid storing devices for long periods without use.
- It is best practice to turn on Box Office devices and test their functionality at least once a month for a few minutes.
Do not leave the device plugged in and charging for long periods, as this will weaken the battery over time.
Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures, such as over-using or leaving the device in direct sunlight or freezing locations.
Store in a moisture-free environment.
Ensure iPads and card readers are consistently up-to-date.
Only use the included accessories and chargers to charge devices.
Do not connect iPad to personal or school property, such as computers.
